SPOTLIGHT SERIES: Good News/Bad News – The Delegated Purchasing Threshold has increased to $25,000, but Not When Sponsored Funds Are Used

Changes to USM procurement policies has allowed the campus to increase the delegated purchase limit from $5,000 to $25,000.  To remain compliant with Federal guidelines and our DS-2, the delegated purchase limit for sponsored research funds remains at $5,000. KFS has been modified to allow for APOs to be created up to the $25,000 limit. Come and learn how to reconcile what KFS allows when creating an APO versus what your agreement terms allow. April Weimer, Procurement Coordinator with the Department of Procurement and Strategic Sourcing (DPSS) will also be on hand to answer other procurement related questions.
